Sentosa Park, Macleay Island (newly acquired);
Pats Park, Macleay Island;
Corroborree Park, Macleay Island;
Jock Kennedy Park, Russell Island;
Pioneer Park, Lamb Island;

Feedback from Community Consultation on the 6th of December
The masterplan for each island park will provide a creative and realistic strategic direction for the planning and development of recreational opportunities in each location. They have been developed inconjunction with feedback from the community consultation undertaken as part of the SMBI Sport and Recreation Strategy and its recommendations..
Each masterplan will provide a coherent aesthetic and functional vision. The process will require technical assessment of each area, analysis of physical attributes including local character and existing community infrastructure, cultural associations and issues and analysis of community aspirations and needs.
In general terms this will include:-
- legibility, connectivity and hierarchy in terms of character and activities within the broader catchment,
-
comfortable and safe use by all,
-
community ownership of the project outcomes,
-
contribution to local image and community pride,
-
existing social, cultural and ecological values and enhancement and sustainability in future, and,
-
cost-effectiveness.
